This Gucci Beauty — “Beauty Stories” (SS25) film came from a very specific brief: treat the backstage like a sitcom. It wasn’t an observational behind-the-scenes piece — it was a fully designed set to build, stage, and light around two girls telling their stories while getting their makeup done, with an intentionally “TV” grammar: fast snap zooms, quick pans, and punchy timing without losing the premium beauty finish.

The main challenge was keeping the image soft yet specular (skin and makeup staying clean, glossy, and high-end) while working with multiple mirrors and rapid transitions from one setup to the next. The solution was a lighting pipeline built for continuity and reflection control, letting the handheld camera language deliver the rhythm and immediacy of a sitcom.
